Computational and Systems Biology:
An Interdisciplinary and Integrative Discipline
in Research and Education
Computational and Systems Biology (CSB) is an
interdisciplinary and emerging field that integrates
disciplines such as biology, chemistry, engineering and
computer sciences among others, in order to study pathways
and networks from a global perspective.
The approaches or experimental tools used in CSB has
been applied in answering of important scientific questions,
and modeling important processes specifically in the areas
of gene regulation, signal transduction and drug discovery.
